Wouldn’t even let me register. Useless
Wouldn’t even let me register. Useless
Plus they immediately notify your 'emergency' contacts making them think something is wrong. Bad app!
As soon as I installed the app and added a couple of emergency contacts, they texted ALL my contacts. There was no warning communicated in the app that this would happen, and I did not have the chance to let my family and friends know what I was doing. They all texted me at once asking if I was okay and what the heck was going on. Terrible implementation of an app.
Check it out. This new version is fantastic. It's full of a lot of new features that amount to a substantial improvement. An already good app has been made even better. Protect you and you loved one by signing up.
No one should be without this service. You don't want your only option to be waiting minutes for a cop by calling 911 when you can be talking to one in seconds using this service. What is your personal safety worth?
I think it's a great concept however in order for this to work the phone must be in your hand and ready to connect. Many times the phone is in a purse or pocket. When it's in your hand, one of the first things to be stolen is your phone. What happens in a garage? No GPS signal? Wifi? The new Trackimo works GPS/3G/wifi Should consider a lapel clip/activator to at least connect audio in 5 seconds to the control center....., something like life alert!
A caller from OnCamera just called me to advertise this app and immediately ended the call when I showed caution against giving my card information. PLEASE be cautious and do not give valuable information away unless you have verified with credible sources on the validity of this app!
Do not get this. There is not any customer service phone number for this company. If you want to cancel, it says download the app. When I downloaded it, it has no record of my account, name, phone number or email but has already taken my money. I had to contact my bank to stop payment. The website says don't do that but I think it's so they can continue taking your money!!!
I downloaded the App. Love the Idea (as several others by Mr. Decharms). After I researched the company, I realized this is an Start Up trying to attract users. I believe that an investor with proper resources might get very interested and will fund this enterprise facilitating a proper roll out. This initiative requires Money, coordination with Police Forces, Counties, etc. Personnel. Not ready to provide Service and I do believe that if Investors provide guidance and Egos are under control from IP holders we all can benefit with a great initiative.
The app support contact info is not valid. My local police dept doesn't know anything about this app. Seriously, how would the police be able to monitor something like this? Secondly, this app wants to charge you once you give them your contact information-I doubt the government would charge for this service. I suspect this may be a SCAM
THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT DOWNLOAD
Although this sounds like a great app, I didn't see anywhere where on the description that it's a 2 week trial then they charge $17.99 month to keep the service. I found out when they called and wanted my charge card number.
Everyone should have an instant video connection with the police in their pocket. This app makes the world a safer place. Amazing.
Finally they get it right! Most of the issues from the beta have been worked out, and was surprised how fast an officer showed up when I pressed the button
Video was clear. I like the idea of speaking with a retired police officer if I need assistance. This is worth it.
This app requires a membership (decently priced) & is not available in all areas (reason I didn't keep it). It has a lot of potential though.
Hi Everyone, Now I feel safe walking alone day or night. As a single female living in San Francisco. I often feel uneasy walking by myself at night, and during daylight depending on the neighborhood. I have immediate access to a first responder. I finally feel secure, protected and have peace of mind. All Woman should download. Let your mobile be your safety device. Be Safe! -KM
This app is a great development for personal safety. It is very easy to use and get registered. I would recommend it to anyone in big cities or to use in any situations when you don't feel safe. The peace of mind is worth it!
I actually paid up front for a membership. Was charged and now the app will not let me login. So I allowed the "security officer" to convince me to pay for an unlimited access membership and haven't even been able to use the service. I should not have been ruled by fear. Don't make the same mistake I did!
At the beginning i thought it was a cool app in terms of security.. Specially for me because i walk by myself at nights... But stopped being nice after i realized you have to pay. I eliminated the app and later on, people from on camera app started to send me regular text messages which is not only weird but not professional.. What other info they take about u!
It's great idea, but I just feel like we help police to catch a bad guys and we have to pay for it... 😟
I just signed up and paid $17.99. The app is not working for me. Someone please contact me.
Wow, $17.99 a month for membership? When we already pay taxes to be safe and protected? Or register for FREE and pay $9.99 for each minute you are in danger? Hmmm if I was held at gun point for 10 minutes it would cost me 99.99 ? If this technology is available why are our police departments not already using it and it being a free service? This is a great idea no doubt! But to charge for it is a disgrace ! Bullets for my 40 cal. Cost 18.00 a box, I think this is the most cost effective means of self protection...
10 dollars per minute? I thought this was suppose to be a helpful app for everyone, kind of like an extension of 911.... Apparently it isn't unlimited time per month & it's 10 dollars per minute you're on the phone. If it's take 4 minutes to deescalate a situation and you talk to the officer for 3 that's 70 dollars......
Seems like a GREAT app! But how can it save my life if it won't get off the "Learn More" page?? How would this help me in an emergency??
I haven't activated my app yet, because it sounds like I would be writing a blank check to the "licensor." It sounds like an awesome app, but I would like to know how much it costs BEFORE I agree to pay.
I downloaded it but it isn't working. Keeps restarting and telling me I'm registered then not registered. Never saw any button to press for alert. App has good potential but needs work!
I tried to register and it won't work. I'm deleting it. 👎🏻
App itself needs a lot of work. I couldn't register and there was no clear button to push to make the call. If they update the app and get rid of the bugs, this could be genius.
The app itself is poorly designed, allowing you to register but logging you out randomly afterwards. The set up process seems like a loop, with you going through their 'Learn more' option and then finishing all of their tips before closing it and being presented with the option to go through it again. No where did I see any sort of actual emergency button, there was a white circle that I tried pressing but it didn't seem to accomplish much. After scouring the app for a moment to see where the actual function was, I dropped the app altogether. The concept itself is spot on- I fully support this. So please upgrade your app to help keep people safe.
Can't seem to get beyond teens of service
Bravo who ever thought of this. I already feel safe. Thank you. Going to have me kids and family members download the app.
It was about time that you have this app Who ever did it , thank you for make me feeling no more safe I hope this prevents tragedies
This app works great. I made a test call and within seconds I was face to face with a real police officer. He took the time to explain how the system would work if I was actually in a threatening situation. If I still had a daughter in school especially I would have this for her immediately.
Great idea and service!
Loved the app! It is a great idea and I have encouraged lots of my friends to downloaded it!
Great app! Was able to connect to a first officer immediately. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends.
I agree with others..charge for the app! The idea is incredibly brilliant and many would pay $$ to save their own lives.
This is a joke they advertise it to be a free app but want 18 a month, are you serious? what a joke don't waste your time on this one.
I can't get past installing...stuck on installing. I can't delete it, I can't re-download it, I can't open it.
The people that need it the most are college students and single women that work at night or travel alone for work. I would get it for myself and daughters if it wasn't so expensive. More people will get this if it is not so expensive, then the volume sales would take care of the lower cost. Maybe once it is established and running costs can be lowered. Fantastic concept, positive identification at your fingertips!
I was surprised to see an officer on the first attempt to call. This will be of great help when it is fully functional - currently it is beta with limited officers and limited time. To use this service even in beta, you need to pay monthly. But price is minimal when compared to life risks and facing difficult situations.
This app. is great and right now is free during their Beta test. I actually spoke to an officer during the test call I am in Georgia and he was in California & he knew my street name and could have warned an attacker immediately or the police at my door. I was totally amazed we did video chat and their website is cameraone.co and they will be charging for this and it will be worth it because it does what I saw on the FB video a friend shared with me. 5 Stars or really 100 from ME****
Great idea but it doesn't work, unless you "donate". It should not say free app but then ask for donations and immediately after you do not donate it tells you you are not accepted. Just charge for the app!!!!
When there are officers available in my area, and I can test to see it works then I will donate no problem. I haven't had the opportunity to test it so I won't bash it. My review is based on the idea, and I'm hopeful that this works. Obviously officers participating need to be paid and I have no problem paying if it works.. Guess will wait and see.
It doesn't work. Downloaded the app. They said there was no one assigned. They asked for money.
People are forgetting that this is beta version. I'm totally looking forward to this app!!
They are just starting do yes it's not every where. Anyone complaining is complaining to be rude. They explain why they need help and why it's not everywhere. This is just like texting 911 it's been years since they started that but it's not everywhere. Be good and patient this will be the best thing that ever happened, if we help it grow.
I think it's a great idea and hope the company follows through with it. I didn't donate but I'm thinking about it. We all use our phones and have it glued to our hands. It's a great app and idea. This is a constant worry as a woman. Men should worry too. This has potential.
